Notes:

Although the '3' in the date has two distinct positions on the 1913 Halfpenny, we have decided not to recognise these narrow and wide date varieties in the Benchmark Catalogue. Although not as dramatic, this minor positional change also occurs on other dates and in itself is not sufficient to warrant a new coin variety, unlike the 1955 pennies which also used alternate obverses as well as 'close 5s' and 'wide 5s' in the date.
