Notes:
The new portrait of King George V was designed by Australian sculptor Sir Bertram Mackennal and appeared unaltered on sixpences throughout his reign. The reverse showing the 'Armorial Ensigns of the Commonwealth of Australia' designed by William Blakemore was first used on the 1910 coins. Australia's Coat of Arms was changed in 1912 to incorporate the shields of the six states, but it was not until 1938 that the new design was introduced on the florin, and not at all on the sixpence which maintained the old design until 1963.
